A week later and we’re north of the border for the first of this year’s SKC Shows. Results in the main were following the ongoing trend, with the Watercroft and Belleville kennels again taking most of the top spots.

Ruth Gee’s CH WATERCROFT CALLING TIME (Ch Strathinver Sea The Stars x Watercroft Top Tipple) took yet another CC and Best of Breed, but this time he was chased to the post by his son, Cathy Thompson-Morgan’s up and coming youngster BELLEVILLE JUST A MINUTE (Ch Watercroft Calling Time x Ch Belleville Just Magic). He took the Res CC out of the Puppy class, and you might have thought that would make him odds on for Best Puppy, but read on!

No guesses as to the top spots in the Bitches, with CH WATERCROFT PINK FIZZ, adding another CC to her tally and BELLEVILLE IN THE BLACK, (Ch Belleville Seduction x Ch Allright Black Bess) another Res CC to hers. Andrea Smith’s homebred JAVIDEL MAYDE TO MEASURE (Watercroft Gold Coin x Ch Javidel Definitely Maybe) pipped the Res Dog CC to the Best Puppy spot.

Patsy Green’s CH WHARFVALLEY DIAMOND STAR, who took the NTCGB’s inaugural Top Veteran award last year, was Best Veteran.

Last, but certainly not least - carrying on his winning form from last week was Alison Hadfield’s BELLEVILLE BORN TO BE FREE (Watercroft Gold Coin x Belleville Free Roll) who once again topped the Special Beginners Group, congratulations!
