RES BEST BITCH:                                                                  Jacquidon No Hesitation

David Guy was the judge for the second major show of the year, and he drew an entry of 17 dogs and 23 bitches. It’s nice to see there are more dog puppies coming through now, as there seemed to be a real drought last year. Competition looks to be hot as well, so it will be an interesting time ahead.

It turned out to be a day for the youngsters, with both Best Dog and Best Bitch coming out of the Puppy classes – Di Jenkins’ and Sue McCourt’s Kinsridge Crackshot and Ruth Gee’s Watercroft Gold Dust took top spots respectively. Gold Dust went on to be awarded Best of Breed and, of course, Best Puppy. She’s got a good head start on the genes front, being by Ch Kinsridge Cash Back out of Ch Watercroft Top Tia. Crackshot is another Top Gun baby, out of Kinsridge Club Classic. Nice to see some different names up there as well, with Res Best Dog going to Linda and Michael Philip’s Nordalset Made to Boogie (Ch Jaeva Made In Gold/Nordalset Love You Madly) and Res Best Bitch going to Edwina Darnell’s Jacquidon No Hesitation (Ch Kinsridge Cash Back/Watercroft Cherry On Top) , both from the Open classes.

Not satisfied with heading up the breed, Watercroft Gold Dust also took the Stakes by storm, first winning the Puppy Bitch Stakes and then the overall title for the day, so Ruth had yet another cracking show.

Not strictly Norfolk news, but still worthy of mention and huge congratulations – Linda and Michael Philip made up their first British Dalmation Champion on the Friday, as Djovica Bubble’n’Chic at Nordelset (“Spotty Dotti”), now known as Ma’am, took the Bitch CC and Best of Breed. Well done!
