JUDGE: MARK WALSHAW

This showground is lovely but always seems such a long way away for the more northern exhibitors (only the same as Darlington or Kelso I suppose for the more southern exhibitors though) – anyway, some of the more northern exhibitors still made the trek and it proved to be another worthwhile journey for the Belleville and Watercroft kennels, not surprisingly if results so far this year are anything to go by. It was judge Mark Walshaw’s first CC appointment in the breed, and he had a reasonable entry of 20 in total (10 dogs and 10 bitches, with 4 absentees on the day).

He chose Cathy Thompson-Morgan’s CH BELLEVILLE MAJOR KEY for his Dog CC winner (his third show in a row), and Ruth Gee’s CH WATERCROFT PINK FIZZ as his Bitch CC and BOB, so business pretty much as usual there. WATERCROFT CALLING CARD took the Res Dog CC from the Puppy class, as well as his third Best Puppy in a row. “Abel” then went on to take Puppy Group 1, Ruth Gee’s fourth Puppy Group 1 this year, with two different dogs, not bad eh!

The Res Bitch CC went to BELLEVILLE BACK TO BLACK, a reversal of last week’s results at Leeds.

The Best Special Beginner this time was Jane Lloyd’s home bred two and a half year old dog ORISON ICE TEE. He is by Max-wells Union Jack At Villassa out of Orison Calm Attitude. Brilliant to see that he went on to take SB Group 2, so well done Jane!
