PETERBOROUGH

FRIDAY 5TH JULY 2018

Judge: Mr Brian Baxter

BOB: WATERCROFT GOLD DUST

DOG CC: KINSRIDGE CRACKSHOT

RES DOG CC: CH BRICKIN POT OF PICKLE

BITCH CC: WATERCROFT GOLD DUST

RES BITCH CC: CH MARCHDENS LOOK TO THE SKY FOR BLAKENS

BEST PUPPY: DIGGERY NETFLIX

BEST VETERAN: WHARFVALLEY DIAMOND STAR

The superb sunshine and unusually hot temperatures continued for this show at Peterborough, and although not everyone likes an indoor ring at summer shows, it was probably the coolest place to be. It was also an unusually large ring for our breed, so there was plenty of room to show movement.

Brian Baxter had an entry of 16 dogs and 28 bitches to go over, with 9 absentees.

He awarded the Dog CC to the winner of Limit: Di Jenkins and Sue McCourt’s KINSRIDGE CRACKSHOT. He is a Ch Kinsridge Top Gun son out of Kinsridge Club Classic. This was his first CC, having taken Best Dog at Manchester in January, where no CCs were on offer. The RDCC went to the Open Dog: CH BRICKIN POT OF PICKLE (Ch Watercroft In A Pickle – Brickin Wild Ivy), Jill Stevenson back in the ring after her judging appointment at Windsor last week.

It was a similar picture in the Bitches, with the CC again going to Limit and the Res CC to Open. Ruth Gees’ WATERCROFT GOLD DUST, gained that all important third CC to get her title, took the Best Of Breed and then went on to seal a wonderful day for Ruth by going Group 3, congratulations Ruth. Jackie Phillips’ CH MARCHDENS LOOK TO THE SKY FOR BLAKENS took the Reserve CC this time.

It is nice to see Lesley Harpham back in the Norfolk ring again after a fairly lengthy break. Lesley’s and Pete Hulance’s DIGGERY NETFLIX took the Best Puppy spot. She’s sired by Ch Jaeva Made In Gold out of Diggery What a Picture. Her litter brother Diggery Golden Ratio had similar success at Bath earlier in the year so it looks a promising time for the Diggery kennel.

Patsy Green’s WHARFVALLEY DIAMOND STAR (Brickin Smart Outlook – Wharfvalley Rose Petal) again took the Best Veteran spot.
